Photo Thursday: Goodbye
Winter Bones ~ My goodby to Summer
The cicadas are singing their last summer song
Winter is coming, I can feel it in my bones
Soon the leaves will turn from green to yellow
The sky from blue to grey
My hands are cold and I crave for a hibernating sleep
The moonflowers bloom their white faces up to the moon
As if they wait for the coming season as well
Winter is the time for reflection, leaving the fast paced summer behind
A time to shed the old and prepare for the new
I am ready for this time of rest where I can go into myself and heal
So next spring I can burst open like a tiger lily
Winter is coming, I can feel it in my bones
The cicades are singing their last summer song
And I smile
