This is how dinner turned out:

 

The pork loin didn't look exactly like the Pin:

 

For being a first shot, under pressure of company, I'd say dinner was a success. I would like to try it again, now that I have a feel for the recipe, and maybe next time I can get it to look like the picture up there.  But next time we have company I'm sticking to the tried and true recipes.
