I am just Jinny

  I have been thinking and thinking about what I could post for the August Blog Star link up. It has not been easy to come up with much of anything, my friends. Sometimes the greatness can not be forced. I've been blogging here on A Girl in the Real World for five whole years. You would think I'd have a couple of book deals and a TV show under my belt by now. But I don't really roll like that. I've never been to any blogging conferences of blogger meet-ups. I don't have ad spaces to sell. I don't do giveaways (mostly because the two that I have done were flops).

I am, very literally, just a girl in the real world.

I live in West Texas, close to nothing but cotton fields. Oh..and cows...and sheep, can't forget them.

I've been married for 12 years, somehow we still like each other.

I have a love cottage, it was a 'starter home' that has become a long term home.

I have stuffed our love cottage with FIVE animals. I really love animals.

I don't read anything but romance novels...with the exception of Harry Potter, Sweet Potato Queens, and The Hunger Games.

I enjoy taking pictures with my fancy camera, I have no idea what all the settings do.

I use to weigh 211 lbs. I was unhappy. So I changed it with a lot of work and Weight Watchers.

I'm infertile and will probably never have kids. Every day I learn to be more and more ok with that.

I worry too much...about everything.

I'm learning to go with my gut when it comes to fashion. I enjoy putting my outfits together and learning to reuse what I already have in my closet.

But I do love to shop...much to my husbands chagrin.

I can be really funny...but it's hit and miss.

I'm mostly shy and reserved around people until I really get to know you.

Unless we are Internet friends...and then you usually get the "real" me.

Sometimes I wish I was more than I am.

But I am just me...just Jinny...a girl in the real world.
