Now that all the kids in our family are grown up (well, the youngest one is 12 or something) Easter isn't as big a holiday as it use to be. I remember when I was younger all my cousins coming over to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for an easter egg hunt. Once, even when we were grown, we had an easter egg hunt but it was slightly altered. Everyone had ONE egg with their name on it to find and it would have money or a scratch-off lottery ticket in it. And there was also ONE golden bonus egg for anyone to find. They were able to expand that egg hunt from just their backyard to the front and also the neighbors yard. It was a fun easter egg hunt. You would find someone else's egg and then tease them with the secret info. ha ha. It was harder than I thought it would be to find my one egg.

There are no easter egg hunts this year. No fancy easter dinners either. We didn't get good friday off of work. Nope, this holiday will pass sort of ignored this year.

Well, except for the two chocolate easter bunnies my Mom left for us.
