“Its amazing how the World begins to change through the eyes of a cup of coffee!!” ~ Donna A. Favors

Last week our coffee machine died a sudden death. My husband put in fresh coffee, filled the water container, and flipped the switch. Nothing happened. We both stood there dumb-founded, confused on how we were suppose to start our morning without coffee. We checked the plug, we flipped it off and then on again. Still nothing. It's a mystery. Maybe it died of old age.

For the last few days I had been suffering through the day without my cup of coffee. I was ok with it. I was a little tired, but there were no headaches or grochy-ness. But, I do find a great comfort in having my cup of coffee in the morning. I didn't really think about when we might get a new one. It's quickly approaching Christmas time so my mind is on gift-giving. A new coffee maker might just have to wait.

But my husband, that sweet, sweet man, came home from the grocery store this morning with a BRAND NEW COFFEE MACHINE! A fancy one. The old one was a small four cup pot with only a on/off switch. It didn't even tell teh time. But the new one, oh the new one, is a big 12 cup pot, it tells the time, you can set the timer so it starts brewing by itself (can you feel my excitiment?) and you can delay brewing long enough to pull the pot out to get a cup a coffee. WHEEEEE!! lol. So, I am back in business with my cup of coffee in the morning. All is right with the world.

  2. I'm stopping by on my way to commenting on as many NaBloPoMo blogs as possible as part of the NaBloPoMo commenting challenge. :)

That coffee maker looks pretty flash; we actually have 2 here - one is like the one you have, but is a bit older, and then we also have a little 4-cup job which was bought for the princely sum of $5 ;)

I haven't had a cup of coffee in a while...it might just be time for that again...

  3. Oh my. Without my coffee, I am one very ugly person. I NEED my coffee. I don't know how you managed to last that long! (And I totally get your excitement at the new one.)
